Early reports following the emergence of the Omicron variant suggest that the variant is more likely to cause less severe illness than previous variants of SARS-CoV-2. Sequencing of the Omicron genome suggested that this variant carries a large number of mutations, including on the spike protein. The large number of mutations carried by Omicron could be a potential reason for this reduction in illness severity.

It is noted that this course, held in Dammam, Jubail, Abqaiq and Khafji, aims to improve the preparedness of security men to take immediate and effective measures to rescue those injuries in case of accidents.

According to the Northern Borders Health Affairs, since early this year (2022), Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaed Hospital- Arar has served 51,800 patients, with 25,469 emergencies and 26,359 outpatients. Also, the hospital has performed 335,319 lab tests, 28,816 radiological examinations, in addition to dispensing 45,236 medical prescriptions.

By Allah’s Grace, the ophthalmic surgeons of East Jeddah Hospital has successfully performed a surgery to a 1-month-old baby with cataracts. After due examinations, the baby had been diagnosed with blurry or cloudy vision. Then, the surgery had been performed to him under general anesthesia, and was crowned with success. Then, the child was followed up weekly at ophthalmology clinic.
