By Allah’s Grace, the ophthalmic surgeons of East Jeddah Hospital has successfully performed a surgery to a 1-month-old baby with cataracts. After due examinations, the baby had been diagnosed with blurry or cloudy vision. Then, the surgery had been performed to him under general anesthesia, and was crowned with success. Then, the child was followed up weekly at ophthalmology clinic. It is noted that East Jeddah Hospital has performed five congenital corneal opacification (CCO) surgeries for newborns in just one year.
